Definition of haze on Wikipedia: Haze is traditionally an atmospheric phenomenon where dust, smoke and other dry particles obscure the clarity of the sky.

This scientific model predicts a sharp drop in PM10 around noon, so we might get a blue sky afternoon; that would be nice. Forecasts for Saturday is around 100 micrograms/m3, and Sunday below 50 in the afternoon.

Living in Shanghai I have been monitoring the air quality here for years, 3 now, and would like to compare Beijing to Shanghai. Unfortunately I an not finding a user friendly site for Beijing like for Shanghai (their official EPA site) that allows you to query PM10, SO2, and NO2 levels as far back as, well, pretty far back. Shanghai has been improving over the past 2 years, but still interested to see how it stacks up against Beijing, especially with their new measures in place. Any hints on where I can find historical values to stack up side by side? http://www.envir.gov.cn/Eng/Airep/index.asp
